and a look into our history
Camp Drewe has a proud history of welcoming and authentic camp environments. Camp Drewe’s namesake, Miss Beatrice Blanche Drewe’s one wish for Camp Drewe was that Camp Drewe would be a place where young people could learn about Jesus Christ, something that remains true to the heart of our campsite today.
Camp Drewe was first opened in October 1972, the beginnings of the buildings being built with the proceeds of a bequeath by the late Beatrice Blanche Drewe.
Since that time Camp Drewe has grown dramatically and it is estimated that we have presented Christ through camping to over 2200 groups and 110.00 people.
Follow through our timeline below to learn more about our story and how we got to where we are today.

Hi I’m Tim. I feel incredibly blessed to be part of the Camp Drewe team. The opportunity arose to join the ministry at the beautiful Camp Drewe site at Lennox head at the start of 2021.
To be of service to this community under the Lord’s guidance is a real blessing and I am excited be able to work in such a wonderful and serene environment. I wear many different hats, I am involved in the broader Christian community with Transform the Nations (TTN) and Three Angels, teaching hairdressing in Nepal, I also volunteer at the Wollongbar Church, in the church café Gather on Mondays, all proceeds are given to charity.
Serving others is my absolute passion and my faith is the foundation for my desire to serve, which is a real blessing to be a part of the kingdom of God.
I share this journey with my four children who have really embraced my move to Lennox Head, they also enjoy the beach location as much as I do.
I’m excited about meeting you all as our guests at Camp Drewe.
Please stay safe and God bless.
Camp Drewe is supervised by the Ministry & Mission unit of the Presbyterian Church of New South Wales.
